David Yurman — Axiom Space Collab

Still life photography for the launch of the custom official crew pin for the historic Ax-1 mission. This pin was made using a 4-billion-year-old Gibeon meteorite, many of the designer’s pieces are composed of an iron-nickel alloy and each of the one-of-a-kind pins is framed by this same material that fell to earth nearly 30,000 years ago. Showcasing interwoven bands of kamacite and taenite, these crystalline structures cannot be found on the planet and therefore hold a symbolic meaning to the Ax-1 mission and its connection to earth and space.
